The RULE for brain wiring is “USE IT OR LOSE IT”!
So, let’s use it and tap it to the maximum potential.
There are four main areas of Child’s brain development:
- Cognitive (brain development) skills – tells us how a child’s intellect grows, his/her thoughts, learning, grasping, decision-making and problem-solving skills. From Childhood – to teens – to adulthood, the cognitive skills affect all the areas of development.
- Motor (physical) skills – is the coordination of small muscles, usually involving the synchronization of hands, fingers, feet, toes, lips and tongue with eyes. It involves the development of muscles which enable the babies to hold up their head, sit and crawl and finally walk run and jump.
- Language and communication – is the ability to understand others and express oneself using words, gestures and facial expressions. Children who develop strong language and communication skills are more likely to arrive at school ready to learn.
- Social and emotional – is a child’s ability to understand the feeling of others, control his/her own feelings and behavior.
