Boost Your Immunity: In general, persons with strong immunity tend to fall less ill. Several fruits and vegetables can add to boost your immune system such as Salmon, oysters, garlic, citrus, fennel, yogurt, carrots, oats, etc. Eating healthy food provides nutrients and also protection. Lemon juice in warm water can be very helpful in boosting your immune system. You can also opt for Vitamin C tabs.

A cold and sore throat will be common which acts as a ground for bacteria to grow further. Lemon juice with a tinge of honey can soothe your sore throat.

Allergies: Pollen allergies are quite common. People are likely to suffer from pollen allergies on dry windy days. Try to stay inside with doors and windows closed to avoid any interaction with pollens. If you are going to an open area, wear a pollen mask to be protected. If you have known allergies, take the medicines and stay safe. Pollen allergy cases will be less on rainy days.

Water: Stay hydrated to fight the seasonal change. Drink lots and lots of water as it helps in eliminating the toxins present in the body. Water is a good protectant, as it flushes all the harmful elements.

Cleanliness: It is important to maintain hygiene. When you enter the home wash your hands with a disinfectant to avoid the transfer of germs and infection from one person to another. Especially when you go to a public place you can find the articles used by others such as stair railings, shopping cart handles, gym, etc. Many people come in contact with these articles and can carry harmful germs. It is a good idea to wash your hands after entering home and take a bath when feasible.

Make sure your surroundings are free of mosquitoes and other insects. Use appropriate insect repellants.

Clothing: This is another and most important factor. Dress-up considering the weather. On a cold day, you won’t be comfortable wearing cotton shorts. Buy clothes in advance before the season approaches. The body’s thermostatic mechanism will not be able to function properly as the temperature changes.

The lazy winter season can add some pounds to you, get out of the bed and do physical activity to feel the warmth of the season. Stay healthy and strong during a seasonal change by following a healthy diet, exercise, and meditation.
